Nari-san's professional services are available to anyone with a knife that they would like to have sharpened to the greatest extent possible. Pricing
Nari-san's work is costed by the length of your knife's blade at $1/cm. We think that is phenomenal value.
The Basic Sharpening Service is comprehensive and includes;
- Sharpening
- Minor Repairs
- Chip removal
- Broken tip repair
- Rust removal
- Straightening
- Re-profiling blade line
- Re-establishing edge geometry
An additional fee may apply when significant work outside of this Basic Sharpening Service is required. An extensive catalogue of more advanced repairs and restorations can be found here.

We have found Nari's skills and knowledge utterly impressive, and a great help in our own sharpening. If you are in the shop on Tuesdays, he will also be happy to answer any questions you may have on knife sharpening.
Logistics
Knives can be mailed to our workshop or dropped in person for Nari to work on during his next visit. Please contact him directly before sending us your knives!
